The Teenage Head » Blog Archive » THE TEENAGE HEAD SCREEN TEST #002 — “Kickball” Katy GOODMAN
“In 2008 I saw Katy GOODMAN play with her band the Vivian Girls at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. I remember at one point she asked the lighting guy to make it brighter so she could see the “dots better.” She of course meant the dots on her fret board. I have never forgotten this moment. It epitomizes just about everything I love about music in a way almost too simple and pure to even articulate. And as a result of not only this anecdote, but her continual output of timeless pop, I have been a fan of Katy’s ever since. Today I consider myself lucky to call her a pal. EO”

Vogue rocks… Vivian Girls | Vogue
